(1) A person commits the crime of unlawful legislative lobbying if, having an interest in the passage or defeat of a measure being considered by either house of the Legislative Assembly of this state, as either an agent or principal, the person knowingly attempts to influence a member of the assembly in relation to the measure without first disclosing completely to the member the true interest of the person therein, or that of the principal of the person and the person’s own agency therein.\n(2) Unlawful legislative lobbying is a Class B misdemeanor.
