(1) A person who is not a member of the same major political party as the candidate for nomination by the major political party may not sign the nominating petition of the candidate.\n(2) Any elector may sign:\n(a) A nominating petition or certificate of nomination of any candidate for nonpartisan office;\n(b) A nominating petition or certificate of nomination of any nonaffiliated candidate; and\n(c) Nominating petitions or certificates of nomination for more than one candidate for the same office.
