The Department of State Lands may exchange common school grazing lands for land of approximately equal aggregate value, when such exchange is in furtherance of the purposes of ORS 273.805 to 273.825. No exchange shall be made until the title to the lands to be received has been validated by the Attorney General. All lands received in exchange shall have the same status and be subject to the same provisions of law as lands given in exchange therefor. [1963 c.517 §4; 1967 c.421 §86]
