As used in ORS 342.433 to 342.449 and 350.100:\n(1) 'Diverse' means culturally or linguistically diverse characteristics of a person, including:\n(a) Origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa but is not Hispanic;\n(b) Hispanic culture or origin, regardless of race;\n(c) Origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent or the Pacific Islands;\n(d) Origins in any of the original peoples of North America, including American Indians or Alaska Natives; or\n(e) A first language that is not English.\n(2) 'Educator' means a teacher or an administrator.
