As used in ORS 343.565 to 343.595:\n(1) 'Braille' means the system of reading and writing through touch commonly known as standard English Braille.\n(2) 'Student who is blind' means an individual who:\n(a) Is eligible for special education due to visual impairment; or\n(b) Has a medically indicated expectation of visual deterioration.
