Oregon recognizes the value and significance of its historic trails, including:\n(1) The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail;\n(2) The Oregon National Historic Trail;\n(3) The Applegate National Historic Trail;\n(4) The Nez Perce National Historic Trail;\n(5) Alternate routes of the Oregon Trail including:\n(a) The Whitman Mission Route;\n(b) The Upper Columbia River Route;\n(c) The Meek Cutoff;\n(d) The Free Emigrant Road; and\n(e) The Cutoff to the Barlow Road; and\n(6) Major historic trails of Oregon including:\n(a) The Klamath Trail;\n(b) The Jedediah Smith Route;\n(c) The Nathaniel Wyeth Route;\n(d) The Benjamin Bonneville Route;\n(e) The Ewing Young Route;\n(f) The John Fremont Route; and\n(g) The Santiam Wagon Road.
