(1) The Department of Veterans’ Affairs is established.\n(2) The department is under the supervision and control of a director appointed as provided in ORS 406.020.\n(3) The department is responsible for the administration of federal and state laws relating to veterans.\n(4) The department, with the advice of the Advisory Committee created under ORS 406.210, shall adopt rules that the department considers necessary to carry out the provisions of ORS chapters 406, 407 and 408 and ORS 88.710 to 88.740.
