As used in ORS 421.455 to 421.480, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) 'Local adult in custody' means a person sentenced by a court or legal authority to serve sentence in a county or city jail, but does not include a child detained by order of the juvenile court.\n(2) 'State adult in custody' means an adult in custody of a Department of Corrections institution.
