(1) A person may not, on the person’s behalf or on behalf of another person, apply for, obtain or maintain a filing or registration for a mark under this chapter by knowingly making a false or fraudulent representation or declaration, orally or in writing, or by other fraudulent means.\n(2) A person that violates subsection (1) of this section is liable to pay all damages sustained in consequence of the filing or registration.
