§ 144a01

(a) Annual appropriation.--Council may make annual appropriations to veterans' organizations to aid in defraying the following expenses: (1) Expenses relating to Memorial Day and Veterans Day. (2) Other expenses, such as payment of rent of any building or rooms where the organization has its regular meetings. (b) Requirements.--Payments shall be made to defray actual expenses only. Before any payment is made, the veterans' organization receiving the payment shall submit verified accounts of its expenditures.
