(a) General rule.--Except as otherwise provided in the scope provisions of subsequent provisions of this chapter, this chapter shall apply to and the word 'corporation' in this chapter shall mean: (1) A domestic or foreign corporation for profit. (2) A domestic or foreign corporation not-for-profit. (b) Corporations claiming exemption from power of the General Assembly.--Any provision of this chapter otherwise applicable to a corporation claiming exemption from the power of the General Assembly shall be inapplicable to such corporation to the extent, and only to the extent, required by the Constitution of the United States or the Constitution of Pennsylvania, or both.
