Section 12508 - Office supplies

(a) Supplies.--The county commissioners, at the cost of the county, shall purchase and provide office furniture, equipment and supplies, blank books, blank dockets, books for records, stationery, postage, utilities, cleaning and maintenance required for each of the county officers whose offices are located in a county building or at another place at the county seat as may be designated by the county commissioners and each supply used by the public in connection with each office. (b) Preference.--Before purchasing office furniture, equipment or supplies, blank books, blank dockets, books for records or stationery, county officers furnished with any of the items may state in writing preferences as to the type and make of the items. The county commissioners shall, if feasible, purchase and supply to each officer the preferred item if a preference has been given. Cross References.
