Section 14302 - Duties of district attorney and entry of nolle prosequi

The district attorney shall sign each bill of indictment and conduct in court each criminal and other prosecution, in the name of the Commonwealth or, if the Commonwealth is a party, that arises in the county for which the district attorney is elected, and perform all the duties which, prior to May 3, 1850, were performed by deputy attorneys general. The duties conferred shall be in addition to all other duties given to the district attorney by other acts.
