Section 8665 - Funeral establishments

(a) General rule.--Except as set forth in subsection (b), a funeral director or a funeral establishment shall not: (1) remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse; (2) permit others to remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse; or (3) use funeral establishment facilities to remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse. (b) Exception.--Subsection (a) shall not apply and removal is permissible if the removal is: (1) necessary to perform embalming or other services in preparation for burial or cremation; and (2) authorized in writing by a family member or guardian.
