Section 6206 - Responsibilities of municipal or residual waste processing or disposal facilities

(a) General rule.--No municipal or residual waste processing or disposal facility shall accept municipal or residual waste from a waste transportation vehicle without a current authorization sticker issued by the department. Failure to comply with this provision shall result in a penalty assessment of $2,000 against the operator of the processing or disposal facility. (b) Disposition.--All penalty assessments collected under this section shall be paid into the Waste Transportation Safety Account. Effective Date. Section 5(1) of Act 90 of 2002 provided that subsec. (a) shall take effect in 180 days.
