\n(a) General rule.--\nThe department may issue and enforce a stop-sale order to any person holding or required to hold a permit under this chapter or to any person where a noxious weed or controlled plant exists. The stop-sale order shall require a person to hold, at a designated place, any noxious weed or controlled plant. Noxious weeds or controlled plants subject to a stop-sale order issued under the authority of this subsection shall continue to be held at the designated place until the department is notified by the person to whom the stop-sale order was directed that the prescribed treatment measure or action has been taken and a reinspection of the premises indicates the treatment measure has been completed and was effective.\n(b) Official marking of noxious weeds and controlled plants subject to a stop-sale order.--\n(1) Noxious weeds and controlled plants under a stop-sale order shall be clearly identified and, where practicable, conspicuously marked.\n(2) It shall be unlawful for a person to remove markings placed by the department for this purpose unless instructed by the department to do so.\n(c) Violation of a stop-sale order.--\nIt shall be .\n(2) It shall be unlawful for a person to remove markings placed by the department for this purpose unless instructed by the department to do so.\n(c) Violation of a stop-sale order.--\nIt shall be unlawful to violate a stop-sale order issued under this section.
