\nThe Department of General Services shall charge and collect fees for actual metrology laboratory calibration, type evaluation and any other testing services which may be rendered. The department shall establish and alter these fees by regulation. Agencies of this Commonwealth shall be exempt from the fee requirements of this section. A city or county which is required to procure standards of weights and measures and any additional equipment in accordance with section 4123 (relating to city and county standards and equipment) to enforce the provisions of this chapter shall be exempt from the fee requirements of this section with respect to the calibration, evaluation or other testing of those standards and equipment.
