\n(a) Deposit in State Treasury.--\nWhen the proceeding is instituted by the department, moneys received from fines and civil penalties shall be paid into the State Treasury and shall be credited to the general government appropriations of the Department of Agriculture for administering the provisions of this chapter.\n(b) Local share.--\nNotwithstanding subsection (a), if the proceeding is instituted by a city or county which has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the department to enforce the provisions of this chapter, moneys received from fines and civil penalties shall be paid to the city or county.\n(c) Department of General Services.--\nMoneys received from fees imposed and collected by the Department of General Services for inspection and testing services provided by the State Metrology Laboratory shall be paid into the State Treasury and shall be credited to the general government appropriations of the Department of General Services for the operation and maintenance of the State Metrology Laboratory.
