Section 3908 - Detention

(a) General rule.--A peace officer who has probable cause to believe that criminal violation of this part has occurred or is occurring on or about an establishment licensee's premises and who has probable cause to believe that a specific individual has committed or is committing the criminal violation may detain the individual in a reasonable manner for a reasonable time on the premises of the establishment licensee to require the suspect to identify himself, to verify such identification or to inform a peace officer. (b) Immunity.--A peace officer shall not be subject to civil or criminal liability for detention of an individual in accordance with subsection (a).
