Section 4134 - Commitment for failure to pay fine

The court may order the sheriff or other proper officer of any county to take into custody and commit to jail any person fined for a contempt until such fine shall be paid or discharged. If unable to pay such fine, such person may be committed to jail by the court for not exceeding three months. (Dec. 20, 1982, P.L.1409, No.326, eff. 60 days) 1982 Amendment. Act 326 amended and renumbered section 4133 to section 4134 and renumbered former section 4134 to section 4135.
