(a) Scope of section.--This section shall apply to counties of the sixth, seventh and eighth class. (b) Requirements.--No compensation for making a return to court shall be paid to a constable unless he has appeared in court and presented his return containing information required by the court, at the regular time fixed by law for making the return.
