(a) Scope.--This chapter relates to mortgage loan industry licensing and consumer protection. This chapter does not apply to a banking institution or federally chartered or State-chartered credit union, if the primary regulator of the banking institution or federally or State-chartered credit union supervises the banking institution or federally or State-chartered credit union. (b) Short title.--This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Mortgage Licensing Act. (Aug. 5, 2009, P.L.117, No.31, eff. imd.)
