(a) Agreement with Federal Government.-- (1) The secretary is authorized to enter into an agreement with the United States Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and any other Federal agency to obtain Federal funds for projects for resurfacing, restoring and rehabilitating toll roads in this Commonwealth. The commission is authorized to use Federal funds which may be available for toll roads only upon approval of the secretary and only under the authority granted under this section. (2) (Reserved). (b) Approval by department.--A copy of each contract and agreement relating to the construction of the turnpikes and connecting tunnels, bridges, slip interchanges and slip ramps shall be provided to the department for review and comment prior to execution of this contract or agreement.
