(a) Penalty.--Except as provided for in subsections (b) and (c), an authorized entity that violates a provision of this subchapter shall be guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 and no more than $1,000. (b) Unauthorized operation.--Except as provided for in subsection (c), a person that violates section 8512 (relating to general prohibition) shall be guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $500. (c) Suspended or revoked authorization.--A person that knowingly violates section 8512 and whose authorization was suspended or revoked by the department shall be guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $1,000.
