The Department of Education and every private educational institution shall notify the parents of the absences or irregular tardinesses of their minor children. If after a second notice of an absence, the parents fail to take the necessary measures for the students to attend classes regularly, all public assistance received by the family shall be suspended.The agencies, municipalities and public instrumentalities of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall suspend all public assistance benefits provided, until the parents of the minor and the minor him/herself prove, and the educational institution certifies, that the absences or tardiness have been corrected.
