Definitions for the purposes of this chapter:(1) Department.— Means the Department of the Family of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.(2) Institution.— Means any asylum, institute, residence, lodging, annex, center, home, house, mission or shelter devoted to the care of seven (7) or more elderly persons, for twenty-four (24) hours a day, with or without profit.(3) Daycare home.— Is the home of a family engaged regularly in daycare for pay [for] a maximum of six (6) adults unrelated by blood ties to said family.(4) Substitute home.— Is the home of a family engaged in the care of not more than six (6) elderly persons, who come from other homes or families, for twenty-four (24) hours a day, with or without profit.(5) Daycare center.— Means an establishment, with or without pecuniary purposes, where the elderly are provided with a series of services, the majority of which concern health, for people with more than three limitations in their daily life.(6) Multiple activities center.— Means an establishment, with or without pecuniary purposes where the elderly are provided with a series of services, the majority of which are social and recreational, with the purpose of maintaining or
