Any of the parties may file an appeal before the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals, in the corresponding judicial region, petitioning for review by appealing the sentence of termination of parental rights issued by the Court of First Instance of Puerto Rico. The appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days following the decision of the court. However, the filing of an appeal shall not render the decision made by the Court of First Instance ineffective.
