The Families and Children Administration of the Department of the Family is hereby encouraged and authorized to enter into a compact, in representation of the Government of Puerto Rico, with the Administration of Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (A.I.C.P.C.), headquartered in Washington, D.C., in order to provide the terms and conditions for the inter-jurisdictional placement of children in foster care or for adoption, as established in this chapter.
