The Puerto Rico Assistive Technology Program, henceforth 'the Program', attached to the University of Puerto Rico, is hereby established to be the government entity that shall lend continuity to the Puerto Rico Assistive Technology Project. The Program shall attend to the needs of all persons with disabilities through the implementation of action plans and projects to promote changes in the systems and support and defense activities in order to provide assistive technology equipment and services to said individuals notwithstanding their age, type of disability, race, nationality, gender or political or religious affiliation.
