For the purposes of §§ 157—160 of this title, the following terms shall have the meaning stated hereinbelow:(a) Parent-Teacher Association or Council. — Means parent and teacher groups that belong to private schools authorized to operate in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.(b) Private school. — Means any private educational institution, whether for profit or not for profit, religious or secular, which is engaged in the pre-school, elementary, middle and/or high school education, or superior to special education, within the territorial limits of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.(c) School textbooks. — Means any textbook, dictionary, reference book, manual, handbook or study material required or suggested by a private school for use of its academic and/or curricular program.(d) Parents. — Means a parent, guardian or any other person under whose responsibility lies the academic or school life of the student.
