(a) This section shall be known as the 'Puerto Rico Cooperative Internships Promotion Act'.(b) For the purposes of this section, the Cooperative Development Administration shall serve as liaison between the University of Puerto Rico Institute of Cooperativism and all government agencies that are part of the Executive and the municipal governments.(c) The Cooperative Development Administration shall establish and promote, through regulations, the necessary mechanism to coordinate the opening of positions to be occupied twice a year by Program participants be it in government agencies related to cooperativism or in any other government agency, any other government dependency, municipal government programs or in intermunicipal consortia created by virtue of the Workforce Investment Act.(d) Those students registered in the Seminar Course Work and Studies in Cooperativism with Supervised Practice (so identified) by the Institute for Cooperativism of the University of Puerto Rico, and who comply with the academic criteria established by such Institution shall benefit from this section.(e) Students selected to work in any government dependency, municipal government program, or
