The following terms and phrases contained in this chapter shall have the meaning stated hereinafter:(a) Department. — The Department of Education of Puerto Rico.(b) Bona fide student. — Any student enrolled in a public or private school at least for that semester immediately preceding his/her application to participate in the Educational Vouchers and Free Selection of Schools Program.(c) Authorized private entity. — Institution established by law to help defray the scholastic expenses of students that attend public or private schools.(d) Office. — The Office of the Educational Vouchers and Free Selection of Schools.(e) Program. — The Educational Vouchers and Free Selection of Schools Program established herein.(f) Secretary. — The Secretary of the Department of Education of Puerto Rico.(g) Educational voucher. — The credit granted by the Department to the public school which the student freely selects to continue his studies.
