It is the ministerial duty of the Council to ensure that the higher education institutions establish administrative measures related to the provisions of this chapter. Likewise, the Council is hereby empowered to impose administrative fines on the institutions that breach some or all the provisions established herein. It also may issue orders to cease and desist to the institutions. It can also resort to [the] courts in the case of violations of this chapter or the regulations, or when necessary, to enforce the orders issued by the Council and the provisions of this chapter.\nHistory —Apr. 11, 2003, No. 109, § 9, eff. 30 days after Apr. 11, 2003.
