For the purposes of implementing the objectives of the Project, the Director shall have, among other authorities and functions, the following duties:\n(a) To draft and adopt regulations establishing the applicable norms and procedures to be followed by the students participating in the Project.\n(b) To select ten (10) students each semester to be awarded with a medal for their extraordinary performance in the community service rendered; all other participating students shall be acknowledged with a certificate to such effect.\n(c) To coordinate with other government dependencies, the private sector and communities the implementation of a strategic plan geared toward encouraging all other young Puerto Ricans to render community service.\n(d) To establish a general plan to inform other students and the general public on the experiences and knowledge gained by participating students.\n(e) To provide guidance and advice to young participants.\nHistory —June 2, 2009, No. 26, § 5; renumbered as § 6 on Jan. 11, 2012, No. 15, § 2.
