Considering that cooperative schools and the Biblioteca y Centro de Estudios de Puerto Rico, Inc. operate without profit, and in order to cooperate with the Commonwealth in the rendering of educational services, cooperative schools and the Biblioteca y Centro de Estudios de Puerto Rico, Inc. are exempted from the payment of any duty, tax, excise tax, contribution or license tax on their income, estate, equipment or any property acquired or to be acquired and on their operations or activities in relation with their functioning as such schools or Biblioteca y Centro de Estudios de Puerto Rico, Inc., and shall not be bound to pay the fees provided in the Notary Act, §§ 2001 et seq. of Title 4; nor those established in the Schedule of Fees of the Property Registry, §§ 1767a—1769e of Title 20.\nHistory —June 7, 1973, No. 111, p. 456, § 6; Aug. 25, 2000, No. 197, § 4.
