The first failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter shall incur a fine of five hundred dollars ($500).\nThe second violation of the provisions of this chapter shall incur a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisonment for a term of six months, or both penalties, at the discretion of the court, executed against the director of the educational institution, or its board or directors, or both.\nThe entities empowered to file the proper complaint shall be those agencies responsible for granting the corresponding permits required by this chapter.\nHistory —July 19, 1995, No. 82, § 19.
