The Manager of the State Insurance Fund is hereby authorized to contract for, in connection with the enforcement of the Workmen’s Accident Compensation Act, §§ 1—42 of this title, the professional services of physicians of American or alien citizenship not heretofore authorized to practice medicine in Puerto Rico, engaged for the purpose by the Secretary of Health, and who fulfil the requirements prescribed by Section 1 of Act No. 383, approved April 22, 1946.
