As of the effective date of this act, the Department of State shall not allow any person or commercial firm to register these identifying insignia; the person or commercial firm that wishes to use the identifying insignia protected by this chapter for the manufacture, distribution, sale or offer to sell articles or products, through radio or television transmissions, or through magazines, newspapers, fliers or any other information media shall previously obtain a written permit from the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, thus approving it as an essential requirement for their use.\nHistory —June 29, 1987, No. 71, p. 226, § 4.
