The Board of Directors may remove or expel a member from the cooperative when it considers that the member incurs one or more of the following causes:\n(a) Has acted contrary to the interests of the cooperative or its objectives and purposes;\n(b) has been delinquent in complying with his/her obligations with the cooperative, after having been previously notified of the same;\n(c) has performed improper acts that are morally or materially prejudicial to the cooperative;\n(d) has been in violation of the provisions in this chapter;\n(e) has incurred any grave wrong doing deemed in the bylaws to be just cause for removal;\n(f) has issued or cashed, through the cooperative, fraudulent checks or without sufficient funds, and in violation of the provisions of the Penal Code of Puerto Rico, or\n(g) has voluntarily ceased to perform the duties assigned to him/her as a member of a cooperative of workers.\nHistory —Sept. 1, 2004, No. 239, § 9.4.
