The Board may appoint an education committee, whose duties, in addition to those established in the bylaws of the cooperative, shall be the following:\n(1) Pursuant to the policies established by the Board, to prepare an education plan containing the following:\n(a) Address the training needs of the directors and members of the committee on those issues inherent to the duties they perform;\n(b) instruct the personnel of the cooperative on the principles, methods and characteristics of the cooperat[iv]e movement and the management of the cooperative, and\n(c) provide information on the benefits of cooperative movement to the community.\n(2) Render a report to the Board of Directors.\nIn the event that an education committee is appointed, the Board shall annually approve cooperative education program annually.\nHistory —Sept. 1, 2004, No. 239, § 16.4.
