The Secretary is hereby empowered to:\n(a) Perform all the functions and take any steps needed to regulate and inspect the pesticides and devices manufactured, distributed, sold, transported into, or used in Puerto Rico.\n(b) To appoint officials and employees and vest them with such powers, and impose on them such duties as may be necessary for the enforcement of this chapter.\n(c) To do all things necessary to achieve the purposes of this chapter.\nHistory —June 10, 1953, No. 49, p. 120, § 6; Aug. 21, 1999, No. 278, § 9.
