(a) Secretary. — Means the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture.(b) Dean. — Means the Dean/Director of the Agricultural Sciences College of the Mayagüez Campus.(c) Committee. — Means the Agricultural Technology Research and Development Financing Committee; a group of officers upon whom the powers and faculties for the implementation of the Research Financing Program pursuant to this chapter are delegated.(d) Research Program. — Means the Program to be developed by the Agricultural Technology Research and Development Financing Committee in which the agricultural research priorities of Puerto Rico shall be systematically addressed.(e) Research proposal. — Means the document to be presented by the researchers or agencies interested in participating of the research funds, in which the need for the research proposed, the scientific method to be followed, the scope and the expected results, as well as the budgetary request shall be itemized. It shall also include any other information that the Committee deems relevant for the proposal evaluation.(f) FIDA. — Means the Integral Fund for the Agricultural Development of Puerto Rico (F.I.D.A., Spanish acronym), a subsidiary corporation that the Committee deems relevant for the proposal evaluation.(f) FIDA. — Means the Integral Fund for the Agricultural Development of Puerto Rico (F.I.D.A., Spanish acronym), a subsidiary corporation of the Land Authority of the Government of Puerto Rico.(g) University. — Means the University of Puerto Rico.
