The government agencies owning parcels of high agricultural productivity and potential located within the geographical limits of the Corridor, except for the School of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Puerto Rico, shall transfer the ownership of such lands to the Land Authority free of charge.\nIn the case of public corporations that, likewise, own parcels of land with agricultural potential within the lands of the Corridor, these shall enter into negotiations with the Executive Director of the Authority and the Secretary to agree on the reasonable terms for land acquisition, use or exchange without prejudice to the finances and commitments of said public corporations. If necessary, funds shall be appropriated to carry out such agreements, and the same shall be consigned in the annual regular expense budget of the Department, for the fiscal year following the date in which such agreements are executed.\nHistory —Aug. 9, 2008, No. 242, § 6.
