The Court of First Instance shall be a court of original general jurisdiction, with authority to act on behalf of and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, in every case or controversy which may arise within the territorial limits of Puerto Rico. Said Court shall be comprised of superior and municipal judges.The Court of First Instance shall be a court of record by means of the mechanisms provided by the rules of the Supreme Court.
