The Judiciary Evaluation Commission shall operate autonomously and shall decide the administrative policy matters regarding the development, implementation and administration of the judiciary evaluations. The Commission may, but without being limited to, request the information it deems necessary from the Judiciary Branch; administer questionnaires; interview persons, and conduct confidential investigations regarding the character and repute of a judge. It may request, under penalty of contempt, the appearance of any person or the presentation of any pertinent document for the evaluation of a judge.The Judiciary Branch shall establish a support unit for the Judiciary Evaluation Commission to coordinate, under the direction of the latter, the administrative aspects of the evaluation system and shall also establish a mechanized system that allows the compiling of information and data needed to aid in the evaluation of judges in aspects of dedication and diligence.
