The Administrative Director or the official designated by him, the attorneys and auditors of the Office of the Courts Administration are hereby empowered to take oaths, summon witnesses and require the presentation of books, registers, documents and objects pertinent to the investigations carried out by them during the course of their official functions.The sworn statements obtained under the provisions of §§ 335—340 of this title shall only be used for administrative purposes of the Courts Administration and shall not be used in criminal proceedings against those who gave them.
