(a) The Chief Justice and each one of the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico are hereby authorized to appoint a law clerk at an annual salary of not less than four thousand five hundred dollars ($4,500) for the law clerks of the Associate Justices, and six thousand dollars ($6,000) for the law clerk of the Chief Justice; Provided, That the law clerk of the latter shall also be the Executive Secretary of the Judicial Council of Puerto Rico.(b) The salaries of the law clerks of the respective Justices shall be annually included in the general budget of expenses of the Government corresponding to the Supreme Court.
