For the purposes of this chapter, the term 'crime victim' means:\n(a) Any natural person against whom a crime typified in the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or the laws of the United States, has been committed or attempted, or\n(b) the tutor or legal guardian, surviving spouse, or relative up to the third degree of consanguinity of such person, when that person has died, is a minor, or is physically or mentally unable to appear to testify.\nHistory —July 22, 1974, No. 116, Part 1, p. 501, added as § 55 on Oct. 31, 2001, No. 151, § 14.
