It shall be the duty of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to notify the Department of Justice of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico about any transfer request made by an inmate pursuant to this chapter in order to investigate whether he/she has any matters pending in other states or territories whose interests the Department of Justice may represent in extradition cases.\nHistory —Sept. 21, 2006, No. 201, § 3.
