In the case a protocol is rendered useless or is lost in whole or in part, the notary shall report the fact to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who shall direct the reconstruction of the proper record by summoning the parties. The indexes and books shall be checked and all necessary records data shall be examined in order to restore insofar as practicable, what has been destroyed or rendered useless. The record shall be approved by the Supreme Court upon a recommendation of the Director of the Protocol Inspection Office.\nHistory —July 2, 1987, No. 75, p. 242, § 55, eff. 60 days after July 2, 1987.
